Originated as a 10-watt station at a high school in 1976 under different call letters, later relocated and expanded significantly in power and reach. The station operates multiple translators extending coverage across the region and maintains relay partnerships with sister stations in neighboring areas. Station management includes on-air programming, community engagement through various musical formats throughout the week and weekends.
