A noncommercial community radio station founded in 1973 and among the oldest non-commercial community stations in its region. The station operates as a hybrid community/public radio facility broadcasting freeform music and public affairs programming produced by local volunteers. Content includes music, news, and programming from Pacifica Radio. The station maintains broadcast radius of 20-25 miles and operates with approximately 65 on-air volunteers. The station received recognition for community education initiatives and has expanded its transmission capability through a sister station launched in 2011 to extend coverage to northern and central areas.
