An FM translator station at 93.9 MHz, designated W230CZ, that rebroadcasts the programming of WYLF, a commercial AM radio station licensed to Penn Yan, New York. The AM station operates on 850 kHz, a clear channel frequency, at 1,000 watts during daytime hours, reducing to 45 watts at night to avoid interference with other stations using the same frequency. The transmitter is located on East Sherman Road in Penn Yan. The station airs a soft adult contemporary format provided through Local Radio Networks and carries the syndicated Intelligence For Your Life program hosted by John Tesh during evening hours, with news updates drawn from ABC News Radio. The station is owned by Genesee Media Corporation, controlled by Brian McGlynn, through the licensee WYLF Radio LLC. The station's history dates to a construction permit issued in September 1981, with the original call sign WOZO. It signed on in 1982 under ownership of MB Communications as a daytime-only operation broadcasting middle of the road music at 500 watts. The call sign changed to WQKA in July 1984 and to WYLF in October 1988. Power was subsequently boosted to 1,000 watts with nighttime authorization added. Earlier programming included oldies and adult standards content via Citadel Media's Timeless network and later via Westwood One's America's Best Music service. Genesee Media Corporation acquired the station and its FM translator in 2022 for $260,000.
