LockFM is dedicated to helping non profit community radio stations known as LPFM’s or Low Power FM radio stations. We help stations who don’t always have the needed resources to get a radio station on the air and keep it on the air. LPFM radio stations are vital to the communities they serve. They provide a platform for local independent artist and more importantly provide a voice to express the particular needs of a given community. These stations are not run by big media they are operated by members of the community they serve. Which does not make them any less expensive to operate. Especially if you factor in that LPFM’s can not run commercials or ads. They rely on underwriters and members of the community to make donations.
