0:10 متحدث 1 hilarious jimmy carr is the host of the show and he's the one who's watching the video to see if you laugh um but this is funny this one is uh on amazon and of course we're watching reacher but amazon really can you stop with the one episode per week and just drop them all at one time please until week eight every tuesday we have to wait for a new episode come on yeah no but that's the
0:34 متحدث 3 the problem you have to wait either for eight weeks for the whole thing to flop down on you then uh it's just ridiculous okay at stately perry matter we watched a show and this was not must see for me i i thought okay i'm gonna see this at some point we watched michael oh the movie what an excellent movie really biopic by a biographical movie about michael jackson right Right, from his time with the Jackson 5 in the 60s, all the way to the Bad World Tour in the late 80s. Now, it originally went longer than that. And then an obscure clause was discovered in a legal settlement document. And all references to Michael's problems with the law and his civil problems and everything were removed. removed and they realized we don't have a third act of the movie without that ah they had to take out the last third of the movie and reshoot it wow and they made him more of a just ascending superstar right the victory tour at dodger stadium and that's where he gets rid of his dad he announces uh this is the last time the jacksons will perform together and all the jacksons are They're looking at each other like, who's going to tell dad? The guy who plays Joe Jackson, and Joe Jackson was really a, he was a dictator.
2:03 Oh my gosh, he was a tough guy. Coleman Domingo's great.
2:06 متحدث 1 Oh yeah, love that guy.
2:08 متحدث 3 Mike Myers plays an agent. Jafar, Jermaine's kid, Jermaine Jackson's kid, Michael's nephew, plays Michael Jackson. And it's not him singing, it's Michael. They're using the actual tracks from the songs.
2:23 متحدث 2 That would be hard to not use Michael.
2:26 متحدث 3 But man, is he good at lip syncing. Whoa, he's good. The star of the movie, as far as I was concerned, the kid who played Michael Jackson as a child.
2:40 متحدث 1 Young Michael Jackson, yeah.
2:41 متحدث 2 Funny, Jafar's had all of the naming. Who played it?
2:45 متحدث 3 Giuliano Valdi. I've never heard of him. I've never seen him before. He is astoundingly good. He's going to be a star. Yes, they'll make a sequel. Now that's what we watched. Michael, it's all over the place. But remember the disclaimer. Your results.
3:17 is in the Starkey Zone Repair Traffic Center. Ahead of the news, yeah, we'll get to the news. Good morning.
3:22 متحدث 5 Backups are starting to bite just a little bit right now, approaching Fort Weaver on H1 eastbound and also approaching the H2 merge going through Waipahu. Right there at the interchange on H1 eastbound to Moanalua townbound, we got some backups going past the stadium and Moanalua's going to back up pretty good from Tripler all the way down through Fort Shafter heading into the Middle Street merge. H1's already getting crowded at the airport as you head into the merge as well. So give yourself a couple extra minutes. It's going to get a little bit busier through town here in a minute as well. Well, westbound from Kaimukita University, still doing the usual slow go there, and past the Polytownbound on, I'm sorry, past Punchbowl on the Polytownbound is where you're seeing some slowing right now as well. I'm Devin Hennessey with your traffic.
4:00 متحدث 4 Thanks for listening to 92.3 KCBQ.
4:09 متحدث 5 Hawaii's most accurate news. The only radio news you can depend on.
4:14 متحدث 3 KSSK Coconut Wireless News and Comment with Michael W. Perry. It's Monday. Can you tell? It's Monday, August 24th. And it is a birthday today for Alex O'Loughlin.
4:31 متحدث 2 Oh, from Hawaii Five-O.
4:33 متحدث 3 Steve McGarrett on the latter Hawaii Five-O. I thought he did a great job. I love that show. I don't know why they took it off The ratings were good I have no clue what that was all about But Alex O'Loughlin was a very good actor And I realized that When I met him for the first time And he started talking And I realized He's not an American He's from I said something rude Like where the heck are you from? It's Australia of course And he is so good I had no idea. There's so many people who do that. They can actually speak American and not sound like where they're from. Yes.
5:21 متحدث 2 I met him once. Very nice guy.
5:22 متحدث 3 Very good guy. Alex O'Loughlin from 5-0 is 5-0 today. Happy birthday. What's going on out there? It's Economic D-Day for the Ayatollah's Iranian regime. They're going to be hit with the toughest sanctions in history. They have never seen what's coming. and they just didn't see it we have stepped up economic pressure on iran and their dwindling number of allies if there is a supreme leader over there and who knows it's not gonna be good for him this week top political leaders in iran are now publicly urging the islamist radicals in charge to find a way out of this more and more ships slipping through in hormuz about 200 of them last week oil tankers mostly huge increase in the past two weeks ships are just turning off their transponders and lights and since since the iranians don't have radar anymore they don't know they're there so uh they're just going south the south part of the strait of hormuz where the navy is they've lost all the leverage they ever had these ships are just deciding they're going to to ignore the iranians they've lost their leverage then again they've got the new york times working for the regime new york times put this uh lady on the front page
6:47 they uh they were complaining about sailors deployed i guess she has a sailor deployed on the abraham lincoln and she said quote they didn't sign up to be on a ship in the middle of the ocean that's exactly what they signed up for it's kind of the definition of a navy yeah sometimes they stay out a little longer than other times i have a son-in-law in the navy a master chief on a carrier not not the lincoln and yeah deployments are rough rough on navy families but they chose it and they love it master chief says he can't tell you what's really happening but it sure isn't what you're seeing on tv and in the newspapers believe that canadian prime minister mark carney says canada's at war with us after the trade talks collapsed yeah a bunch of tariffs went into effect against them well obviously they don't like that we've been getting a very one-sided deal with canada canada had tariffs on our stuff and we didn't have tariffs on their stuff well now we do uh canada doesn't like that i understand that but mark carney i don't think he's quite reading the situation correctly here we love canada we love canadians
8:17 we're just tired of of this one-sided deal we're just looking for some fairness and if if you were not aware that it was a one-sided deal look into it it was well Well, we've deported about 900,000 illegals in the last year and a half. 2.2 million illegals have self-deported back to their home countries with a nice plane ticket and cash in their pocket and a position at the front of the line to be legal, which is a pretty good deal. The FBI had a news conference.
8:56 They introduced us to a woman, an American citizen, Jessica Bowie, 35 years old, who converted to Islam and became radicalized somehow. Boy, was she radicalized. She wrote on social media in Arabic, praise be to Allah for September 11th. Oh, wow. Anyway, this woman had pledged allegiance to ISIS and was arrested. She wanted to detonate a bomb in a DoorDash delivery bag outside the New York State Capitol building, trying to destroy the building and kill as many senators as were inside. Her original target was the White House and the president, but that was too tough to do. Governor Newsom just signed the law that criminalizes some investigative journalism, the Stop Nick Shirley Act. Nick is the kid, not a professional journalist, who goes out there with a camera, just walks Walks around and knocks on doors and says, is there really a Medicare facility here? It doesn't look like it. There's nobody here. That kind of thing. Has a camera with him. But the governor is criminalizing that. The Stop Nick Shirley Act. This is going to be a First Amendment bonanza for somebody. Governor Newsom's wife and staff have been under a federal investigation since the Biden administration.
10:23 The feds are investigating California's election system fraud, and they've pulled $1 billion in Medicaid from California. These are your tax dollars because of extensive Medicare-Medicaid fraud. Waste fraud abuse. Oh, and you know, the homeless industry is right up there. That is a huge business. California bought a hotel for $8 million six years ago. Now they need $20 million to fix it. That comes out to about $625,000 per homeless person that will be housed there. Does that make sense to anybody? Six years later, nothing to show for it. Oh, by the way, the main sponsor in California of the Stop Nick Shirley Act is married to Governor Newsom's Attorney General. Just a crony coincidence, right? right we got floods in america we got tropical storms in the pacific and we got evacuations for a wildfire north of reno 42 000 people ordered out another 45 000 ready to go 15 000 acres started saturday zero percent containment and it was human caused as are most wildfires they're
11:46 investigating what about that dow jones oh it's up 176 points 53 453 okay mandy what's happening
11:56 متحدث 2 around town well mike following hurricane lala governor josh green has requested a presidential emergency declaration the request seeks immediate federal assistance to maintain essential services green is asking for specialized mortuary teams large emergency generators and equipment to to establish temporary microgrids. More than 6,000 Big Island customers remain without power, with some outages possibly lasting until September 8th. State crews are working to clear hundreds of trees toppled by Lala. Oahu alone generated nearly 500 debris calls. The storm sent trees onto power lines, homes, vehicles, and roads, sometimes blocking residents for days. City crews are prioritizing hazards near homes and infrastructure. structure following the storm the hawaiian humane society is caring for more than 200 displaced and stray pets about 217 animals had arrived by friday pushing an already overcrowded shelter beyond capacity the organization is asking residents to consider fostering or adopting pets finally tomorrow the hawaii supreme court will hear two honolulu city council election challenges trevor ozawa challenged council chair tommy waters eligibility for another term a circuit court judge agreed and disqualified waters after voting began 40 district voters are challenging

13:35 متحدث 3 Freedom 250 in Washington, D.C. was a Grand Prix, started and finished in front of the U.S. Capitol, went around the National Mall, about 147 laps. Wow. And Mike Evans was saying, that's boring. It's boring to me, too, Bill. A whole lot of people love racing, so that's fine. To everyone, it's a free country. And everybody had fun. It's loud. There's a lot of stuff going on.
14:03 متحدث 2 Is 147 an odd number to pick, or is it significant that I don't know?
14:08 متحدث 3 They wanted it to be a certain length.
14:10 متحدث 1 Yeah, it's a distance.
14:10 متحدث 2 Oh, okay, okay, because I was like, that's so weird.
14:13 متحدث 3 That's how it came.
14:14 متحدث 2 Didn't they just pull that out of a hat?
14:16 متحدث 3 Which one am I on now? Is it 144? Hawaiian Electric has restored to what? All but, I think, 6,000?
14:24 متحدث 2 Last check was 6,400 this morning.
14:27 متحدث 3 On the Big Island. Right. And just about everybody elsewhere, I know it takes time, but guess what? There's going to be people still without power for weeks. What are you going to do? You got your MREs down in the...
14:46 متحدث 1 Haven't had one of those in a while.
14:48 متحدث 3 I know, but they have that stuff that's good for 25 years or whatever.
14:53 متحدث 2 Yeah, the ones you can put in your storage, right?
14:55 متحدث 3 And you're saying, yeah, well, what if the water goes out? You have water in your hot water tank. Remember that. Oh, that's right. Drinkable water in there, and it's not going to be hot.
15:03 متحدث 2 I know something you can't do. What? There are no generators on the island. Yeah, that's for sure. All the stores have said that they're sold out.
15:10 متحدث 1 Generators. I wonder why.
15:11 متحدث 3 Go on. Everybody waits. Yeah, and Kumukit is going nuts right now. Yeah. There are so many people. I told you. I told you what was going to happen. And now everybody wants a battery. Yep. while we were sitting in luxury at Limelight. Hey-oh. Limelight. It's where the Hawaiian hut used to be over at the Ala Moana Hotel. And we had a show, a Saturday morning show. Thanks for the folks who came in the audience. Thanks for you for listening all over the world. Bobby Madero was there from Mauna Loa. Lindsay Webster, what a voice. I'm going to make my way down there.
17:47 متحدث 1 Too bad my next flights on Hawaiian are just Inner Island.
17:51 متحدث 3 Oh, you know what?
17:53 متحدث 2 The dish he made on stage yesterday, he made a fried garlic noodle, and he said it is one of the items that you can purchase. No way. Pre-purchase when you take your Trans-Pacific flight.
18:04 متحدث 3 Oh, you've got to go somewhere far.
18:05 متحدث 2 Yeah, you've got to cross the ocean.
18:07 متحدث 1 Hmm, guess I've got to go to Japan again.
18:09 متحدث 3 Oh, shucks. Just to eat. Jimmy will do that, by the way.
18:12 متحدث 1 I would.
18:13 متحدث 3 So you were there. Tell me something. With humid weather, even potato chips just bend when you take them outside. Do Mandy's munchies still munch?
18:25 متحدث 2 Yes. They do. Especially if you're eating one of the cakes. The moisture is just locked in now, right? We've got it. We're good.
18:31 متحدث 1 All right.
18:32 متحدث 3 right kssk radio weather more of the same sorry it's going up to 86 yeah this um this endless parade of tropical depressions and storms and stuff is giving us all this moisture 86 degrees for a high the relative humidity is going to be right there in the mid 80s to 82 85 percent And the only thing that's going to save us is the trade winds because they're with us, and they're with us with a vengeance, like 20 to 30 miles an hour. So good. That might cool us off. To the moment, that's it.

H3 townbound coming away from Kaneohe. That stall is over on the right shoulder now, an emergency vehicle still blocking the right lane. So you can get through on the left lane, but it's going to be backed up coming off the Likelike as you make your way Mauka Bound on H3. Everything's looking good on the Likelike and the Poly, just a little slow townbound in the usual spots. Right now, heading, let's see, eastbound, out of town. Everything's looking fine. Westbound across town, regular backups, though, starting on Kalaniana-Ole from just past West Hyne Drive to get past University. I'm Devin Hennessey with your traffic.

23:59 متحدث 3 Hey, SSK. I'm Michael W. Perry. Thank you very much for listening to this program. Okay, the Honda summer event is something you really should take care of if you're looking for a vehicle. Honda's having this big event, and it's happening at Pacific Honda. Best pricing, best financing all year. They have a bunch of great cars, a really good truck. A lot of people overlook the Honda Ridgeline. I don't know why. Why? Great truck. 1.99% APR financing up to 36 months right now. Not bad. Do you know what America's favorite SUV is? What do you think? It's the Honda CR-V Hybrid. It's available for only 3.49% APR for 36 months. And they've got the new one, the 2027 Honda HR-V. It's in stock right now. Be the first in your neighborhood to have one. 3.99% APR up to 48 months. They have 250 vehicles to choose from. They're all above the showroom. And they're in climate-controlled, massively covered areas, which means they're not out in a field somewhere. It's a, you know, it's a high-rise, right? Look at the three floors right above the showroom. That's where all of their inventory is. because it's massive, and the birds can't have their way with the cars in there.
25:27 The Honda Summer Event is on. Okay, check them out. Maybe you'll meet Randall Tuzon. He's there. As a matter of fact, this month he's celebrating his 6th anniversary at Pacific Honda. He's in sales, and you should really talk to him. PackHonda.com if you want to shop online first. Hey, Pacific Honda is the home of the happy Honda lovers. and if you're not one yet you really should be go kssk radio yes he's here

Certainly the greatest secret mission of World War Two and against Adolf Hitler, end quote. That's the way the studio describes the film. but here's the scoop since post-production the finished film a 35 millimeter negative was being stored at the netflix studios in los angeles and the films disappeared completely disappeared out of a vault 105 million dollar movie it's just disappeared getting ready for release nowhere to be found the lapd has been called in for a huge investigation what happened into this movie. That truck is going to get a tow out of there shortly, but they've still got the right lane blocked with emergency vehicles, and the left lane is the only one squeaking through. The rest of the way up and over the Kolau is fine. The Polytown bound is slow from Summer Palace Pass. Past Punchbowl, westbound on Kalani Ono'ole heading into town. It's going to be backed up from the golf course all the way past University on H1. And H1 eastbound, Moanalua's getting the worst through Middle Street. It's backed up all the way to the H1 Exchange. And H1 eastbound is going to be backed up pretty solid at Nimitz through the merge. I'm Devin Hennessey with your traffic.

33:18 متحدث 2 going on out there mandy thank you mike president trump says he will raise tariffs on imports of cars trucks and auto parts from canada to 50 he made the announcement in a truth social post this morning after the two countries failed to reach a trade agreement over the weekend trump said canada has been ripping off the united states of america for years okay well they haven't been
33:41 متحدث 3 ripping us off we allowed it to happen for decades they had a big tariff on our stuff we had to pay a lot of money to get our products sold in canada they did not have to do that in In America. And, I mean, this is a big list of stuff, right? And a lot of people are just not aware of that. It was a one-sided deal for some reason. And some folks in Washington got to thinking, wait a minute, why is that? And there is no reason. So they said, let's just make it fair. Let's just, you know, level it up. A lot of people in Canada are not aware of it. We love you, Canada. canada it's not this is not personal this is something that mark carney i think he's reading the situation wrong or something because he's trying to fight it no don't fight it this is fairness right uh it'll go away don't worry what else well thousands of people are being told to
34:44 متحدث 2 evacuate in reno nevada as a fast-moving wildfire threatens the northern part of the city around Around 42,000 people have been ordered out because of the Hawk Fire, a blaze that's burned 15,000 acres since it began Saturday. Another 45,000 people have been told to get ready to evacuate.
35:04 متحدث 3 And, of course, it was human caused. Yes. That's what they said. They're still investigating. We don't know if it is an accidental human thing or an on-purpose human thing. If it is, it should be attempted murder because that's what happens. People die. You've already got a whole bunch of injured people.
35:23 متحدث 2 And that's just, I mean, hopefully no loss of life, but the destruction. And what these people are going to have to go through now to try to get insurance claims and rebuild and what a nightmare it is for them because of someone's need to start a fire.
35:39 متحدث 3 That has got to be life in prison. If you're an arsonist and you set something that big, sorry, you're gone. Bye-bye. What else?
35:49 متحدث 2 Well, the landmark meta-trial will continue in federal court in California today. Meanwhile, TikTok has agreed to pay $400 million to settle a U.S. government lawsuit. The suit alleged the company violated the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act. The former Illinois Sheriff's deputy convicted of fatally shooting Sonia Massey in her home in 2024 has died. Sean Grayson's attorney announced his death yesterday. Grayson was six months into his 20-year sentence for second-degree murder. Another defense attorney had said at his sentencing in January, the former deputy was diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer in 2023. Finally, swimming is currently banned at One New Jersey Beach after dozens of syringes washed ashore. Sixty syringes made an unwelcome entrance in the borough of Manasquan over the weekend. Town officials have posted no swimming signs until further notice. KSSK Newstime, it's 7.35. Let's check in on Wall Street this hour.
36:50 متحدث 3 It's up. Dow Jones up 100.
36:55 No, I'm sorry. It's up 67 points now. Why is that one stuck at a... That's why we have two computers. 67 points up at 53,344. We'll keep watching what's going on around Hawaii.
37:11 متحدث 2 Well, my tropical depression, Moke, continues to churn in the Central Pacific. The system is about 445 miles southwest of Hilo, Hawaii, with winds of 35 miles per hour. Though it's predicted to weaken tomorrow, the storm is forecast to bring up to 15 inches of rain across the Big Island. Officials warn a direct hurricane strike on Oahu would be catastrophic for the entire state. A major storm could disable Honolulu Harbor, the airport, the power grid, fuel facilities and communications across Hawaii. Governor Josh Green says the state only has about 10 to 14 days of supplies and needs an improved alternate harbor on a neighboring island. Transportation officials have plans to shift shipping to smaller piers.
38:01 متحدث 3 Do you realize how many people now are going, geez, maybe we do need some alternate energy in the state of Hawaii. why maybe solar and maybe solar and wind are not the way to go well you should have told the legislature that 15 years ago because they went ahead and got rid of our cushion here on the island of awa if you're wondering why we've had all the glitches and everything because we lost
38:27 متحدث 2 17 of our power and the fact that there's only one harbor that can handle the volume that comes
38:34 متحدث 3 into the state yeah there's only one uh if you don't have your by the way kumu kit is doing what they can to do as many batteries as they can everybody wants a battery now right oh yes
38:49 متحدث 2 because all the generators are out of stock that's right the generators are out of stock so
38:53 متحدث 3 if uh we and we suggest having both by the way solar is always a good idea and a battery would would be a good idea too it's pretty good backup and then you need a backup for the backup yes if you want to keep things going and that would be a generator fairly small generator it's less than a
39:11 متحدث 2 thousand bucks you can get a really good one that's a little something yep and uh you know all of that leads to this final story here and why we should remain prepared experts warn the el nino fueled hurricane season is just getting started through november the central pacific it could see between 7 and 13 cyclones. Three systems have already affected Hawaii this season, including Fausto, Lala, and Moque. So forecasters are urging residents to remain prepared. KSK News time at 7.38. And now.
39:46 متحدث 3 three stories this dude sneaks into well he's in the st louis zoo and he decides i'm going to climb that fence onto a barrier of artificial ruck work and sneak myself into a big
40:03 متحدث 1 cat country like big cats like lions and tigers oh my not like maine coons right we're talking
40:11 متحدث 3 the big ones you got it uh yeah so other visitors were horrified they notified security i don't know what's wrong with this dude uh security took the man into custody turned him over to police i would have loved to see that so the the security supervisor goes down there with bob and daryl right uh uh daryl uh you go in there uh bob you try to distract you wave your arms and stuff and try to distract the cats away from daryl while right goes and gets this guy and cuffs him and
40:47 متحدث 1 reads him his rights um no bob and daryl had to junk and poe best out of three to see who
40:53 متحدث 2 bob and daryl do not get paid enough for that true that whatever it is it's not enough i've
41:00 متحدث 1 told a story before and it still sits in my head from years and years ago uh at the phoenix zoo they had i think it was a jaguar a black jaguar yeah and it's an enclosure that goes down like 30 feet so you're standing on top looking down at him and when i came up over the rail and i looked down this thing looked up at me like i was today's lunch and i was thinking to myself is this 30 feet
41:24 متحدث 3 enough why is this guy going into that i don't know uh he'll be going into another enclosure of his own yes the couple that recently climbed to the top of the empire state building where they shouldn't have been are back in court they are the uh influencers of course angela and ivan they got a lot of clicks out of this one they got engaged at the very very tippy top of the empire Empire State Building, that was the scariest thing I've ever seen. And how it doesn't make them crazy, I don't know. But it caught the entire city's attention July 1st. Nothing at the Empire State Building that has climbed since King Kong created that much of a stir. So they're looking at felony burglary. I don't know what the burglary is about. And criminal trespassing. plus they were standing next to a live antenna right good yeah i do want to thank them though
42:28 متحدث 1 and so many businesses thank them for the opportunity to make advertisements where you replace the flag that they had with your own you know yes come get some chicken today like that that's what the flag you know they made all kinds of things with that that's what we'll see next
42:46 متحدث 3 next new york city cops are investigating this one three people that makes no sense to me three people in overalls wearing headlamps emerged from a manhole in the sewer of seventh avenue
43:18 Really? Yes. They caught some the other day, and that was on video.
43:22 متحدث 2 Yes, I remember the one the other day. That was broad daylight. Yes, because social media people, people had put it on social media.
43:27 متحدث 3 Hmm. And these people just pop out of a sewer, and the cops investigated and brought the hazmat people in. No threat to the public, no damage to the sewer system, yet.
43:44 What are they doing down there? Who are they? Yeah. i'm sorry i want inquiring minds want to know and we got people on top of the empire state
43:54 متحدث 2 building we've got them below the streets um so of those three situations which is the most horrifying or least horrifying if you had to pick of those three i'd be in the sewer just looking
44:07 متحدث 3 for the turtles i think yeah i want to meet the ninja turtles i know they're down there
44:13 متحدث 2 I'd be in the sewer. My breakfast would be in the sewer.
44:17 متحدث 1 I mean, obviously, the top of the Empire State Building is absolutely frightening.
44:22 متحدث 3 I'll jump down into the sewer any day.
44:26 متحدث 1 Before that. Yes.
44:27 متحدث 3 Although the cats...
44:29 متحدث 2 That's the thing. What? That's a rough question. I am afraid of heights, and I'd probably take on the Empire State Building before the cats.
44:36 متحدث 3 The cats are a sure thing, right? Yes. You're a goner.
44:40 متحدث 1 Uh-huh.
44:40 متحدث 3 Okay. Okay. Partly sunny, a beautiful 86 degree trade wind day. Unfortunately, we got a lot of trades and that's your only hope today because the relative humidity is going to be in the mid 80s. Sorry. To the moment, that's it.

45:33 متحدث 3 I've been really nervous I did two shows I think and one was like for fans and then the other one
45:39 متحدث 1 One was sort of like for the industry and stuff like that.
45:41 متحدث 3 And I remember, I don't remember being really nervous.
45:43 متحدث 2 I couldn't believe I was even here, like singing in America anyway.
45:47 متحدث 3 It seemed so unlikely being from England.
45:49 متحدث 2 It was great. The crowds were great as well.
45:51 متحدث 1 Everyone comes and tries and it doesn't always happen.
45:53 متحدث 2 So you kind of got to be a little bit guarded when you first come and be ready to be like, nah, I don't really like it. Keep listening to iHeartRadio for more of Adele and all of your favorite artists.
46:05 متحدث 3 Devin in the Starkey's Auto Repair Traffic Center. Aloha. Good morning.
46:09 متحدث 5 improvements on H3, Maokabon coming out of Kaneohe and heading up through the Haiku Valley, but a big deluge coming down there made it hard to even see whether the camera was pointing a different direction or whether the stall was still there or what, but it looks like it is cleared and the traffic is starting to make its way up through the tunnel, and Maokabon continues. Looks like everything's fine up and over the Kotlau on the Like-Like and the Pali as well. Looks like from Summer Palace past Punchbowl, usual crowding there. Both directions of H1, East and Westbound heading into town, going to be backed up for you this morning. Westbound from from Kalani'ana'ole and eastbound from the airport in Mauna Loa, still dealing with a stall or a crash there near Red Hill. I'm Devin Hennessey with your traffic.

47:07 متحدث 3 Esports headlines. Let's start with the Babe Ruth World Series Baseball Championship.
47:12 متحدث 1 Yeah, and that has a local tie to it. We were talking about the Westside Bombers last week playing up there in, where were they at, Jamestown, New York? Yeah. Yeah. Well, they won it all. On Saturday, they beat the team from Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey. Egg Harbor. They deserve to lose just based on the name. Four to two was the final there in extra innings, and congrats to manager Joe Gabrillo and his squad there. Quite a few accolades for this team. First off, you had the team winning the sportsmanship award. Then you had one of the kids, Stanson Verbeckmos, winning most outstanding player and the batting champ. camp then you had the all world series team uh isaac sowett and shiloh irvine got on that then the all gold glove team logan kawakami and chaston fuentes made that as well so wow uh what a great job from this team up there in jamestown new york representing us and way to go i think they've made it back already i did see some pictures of them at the airport with the trophy and everything so So, nice job, Westside Bombers. And remember, this is 13U, so we will be seeing them on TV playing some baseball very soon at the high school level.
48:34 متحدث 3 Nice. Quarterback competition in Atlanta is on. Michael Penix, Jr., fully cleared for practice. That means he's going to challenge Tua for the starter job. Another pro athlete is the victim of a home burglary because everybody knows where they are.
48:50 متحدث 1 Well, and remember, at this point of the year, they're on the road for like a month doing all the training camps and all that stuff which is
48:58 متحدث 3 what happened to cd lamb cowboy star receiver one person broke a window went in knew what was valuable stole seven several high-end value things three hundred thousand dollars worth wyndham clark wyndham clark just sounds like a brand of chocolate or something doesn't it
49:23 متحدث 1 Or a hotel.
49:25 متحدث 3 Wyndham Clark gets to celebrate another victory after winning the BMW Championship in St. Louis. Pat Cantlay was second. Rory was third, 13 under. And Scotty Scheffler was the defending champ, and he tied for 12th. That so often happens. I am pleased to say that Usain Bolt has been beaten by a humanoid robot. Oh, here we go. Here we go. A humanoid. Great. This robot runs. It's not like a motorized thing with a wheel or something. It's a robot, and it runs. And it beat the 100-meter world record held by Usain Bolt. 100-meter dash in 9.32 seconds, beating him by about a third of a second.
50:11 متحدث 1 I'm sensing a new controversy. No robots in human sports.
50:16 متحدث 3 Good.
50:19 I'm supporting that one, too. There we go.
50:21 متحدث 5 That's good.
50:23 متحدث 3 The run beat Usain Bolt. That's amazing.
50:26 متحدث 1 It was just his birthday the other day, too.
50:28 متحدث 3 But it was a machine. Right. And it runs. And it runs very well. Dodgers beat the Pirates. Shut them out. Four zip. And the Red Sox beat the Giants 5-4. Jimmy's got more.
50:41 متحدث 1 And no Dodgers today. They're off today. And by the way, speaking of golf, maybe not as good of golf as you had at the BMW Championship. championship but the chip in for castle is today out there at mid-pack looking forward to getting the crew out there and at least the weather held up for us it looks like so have a good day out
51:01 متحدث 3 there at the mid-pack i should be out there you should i should come out there and say hi to
51:06 متحدث 1 everybody you should i will do that that's your neck of the woods yes all right let's talk some football that happened over the weekend three games on tv for you friday night we were up in In Wahiawa, usually it's nice and cool, but it was hot and humid with no breeze. In Wahiawa, imagine what it was like everywhere else. But we saw a great game. Aiea and Lelehua played to a 14-13 match. Aiea getting the win in that one. Congrats to Na'ali'i. And their quarterback has gone viral now. So he was the impact player. His name is Fatboy Jesus Capessi. His real name is Keisel, but his nickname is Fat Boy has been since he was a kid because he was a 10-pound baby. So the nickname stuck. That's what he goes with. So on our graphic on OC16 during the post-game interview, there it says Fat Boy Jesus Capese. Somebody from Barstool Sports somehow, which is a big national account, they picked it up and put it out, and now it's gone viral out there. They said in their comments on their post on X, that this 6'1", 278-pound quarterback, or 268-pound, need to put his jersey in the rafters already, just based off the name. Fat boy. Fat boy, but yeah, what a great game for IA. Congrats on the win there. Then Saturday night, we had a pair of games for you from the Open Division, Mililani versus St. Louis on OC16. We were excited about this matchup,
52:35 but Mililani made it a statement. 42-0 for the Trojans in this one. Their quarterback, Hunter Fujikawa, 200-plus yards, three TDs, only had three incompletions. I mean, just phenomenal and a master class in how to play football. Defense as well, special teams as well. So congrats to the Trojans. And then on XCAS, we had Kohuku and Kamehameha. Now, I don't know if you're familiar with the term scorigami. this is a phrase that is used to describe a score that has never happened before i don't know if that's the case but this is one of those scores it sounds like it could be a score igami 13 to 5 wait a minute in football what trying to figure out how you even i don't know and it was kahuku who got the win so congrats to the red raiders and their quarterback lucky sumith ranga he got got the Impact Player Award. And by the way, we will see those Red Raiders again on TV this coming weekend. And for the first time this year, we'll see Punahou, the Buff and Blue football team, play in those Kahuku Red Raiders. Give you more of the details as we get closer to that. But remember, all this brought to you by our good friends at the city and county of Honolulu's six municipal golf courses. If you're not playing mid-pack today with us, go out and play a Muni. You can play at any of the six by going to ttimes.honolulu.gov.
