A commercial radio station broadcasting at 830 kHz in Honolulu, Hawaii, KHVH is owned by iHeartMedia and operates with 11,000 watts using a non-directional antenna. The transmitter is located atop Kalia Tower at the Hilton Hawaiian Village. The station also transmits on Oceanic Spectrum digital channel 881, providing statewide reach across Hawaii. Studios and offices are on Iwilei Road in the Kalihi neighborhood. The station signed on the air on April 20, 1951, before Hawaii achieved statehood, originally using the call sign KIKI and broadcasting at 250 watts from 320 Ward Avenue. Through the 1960s and 1970s, KIKI carried a Top 40 format as an affiliate of the ABC Contemporary Network. The call letters KHVH derive from Kaiser Hawaiian Village Hotel in Waikiki, originally owned by industrialist Henry J. Kaiser — today the site of the Hilton Hawaiian Village. KHVH broadcasts a news and talk format. Weekday programming begins with a local talk and information show hosted by Rick Hamada, followed by a lineup of nationally syndicated conservative talk programs including The Sean Hannity Show, The Glenn Beck Radio Program, The Clay Travis and Buck Sexton Show, The Jesse Kelly Show, and The Joe Pags Show. Due to Hawaii's time zone differences from the mainland, several programs air on a tape-delayed schedule. The station carries the 6 p.m. newscast from KHON-TV, Honolulu's Fox Network affiliate, on weeknights, and is an affiliate of the Las Vegas Raiders Radio Network.
