A commercial AM talk radio station operating at 10,000 watts on the 970 kHz frequency. The station was established in 1972 as KIAK with a country music format through Big Country Radio, Inc. Following multiple ownership changes throughout the 1980s and 1990s, the station transitioned to talk radio and eventually became part of iHeartMedia's portfolio in 1997 through Capstar Broadcasting Partners. In 2004, the call sign changed to KFBX to reflect its shift toward syndicated talk programming. The station broadcasts primarily through Premiere Networks syndication, featuring nationally distributed shows including morning news, business analysis, political commentary, and entertainment programming, with most hours beginning with iHeart's 24/7 news updates.
