KDNK FM 88.1

KDNK FM 88.1 broadcasts public access community radio from Carbondale CO on 88.1 FM, with online streaming through kdnk.org. Its format includes community programming, folk, indie, and world music, alongside local and regional news. Founded by volunteers in 1983, KDNK says the “DNK” in its call sign refers to downtown Carbondale’s Dinkel Building, where its first studio was located. The station’s schedule is largely programmed by more than 100 volunteer DJs and hosts, with staff supporting news coverage, a music library, and local programming. KDNK also carries NPR, Democracy Now, Colorado Capitol coverage through a mountain community radio partnership, and syndicated music shows such as E-town.
