The station broadcasts a regional Mexican format, drawing primarily from Entravision's California-based Radio Tricolor network. Studios are located near Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport. KLNZ is classified as an FCC Class C station with an effective radiated power of 48,000 watts. Its transmitter is located off North Tower Road in Buckeye, among the White Tank Mountains west of Phoenix. The station transmits using HD Radio technology; its HD2 digital subchannel carries the Spanish adult hits format of sister station KVVA-FM at 107.1. The frequency at 103.5 FM has a history extending back to May 18, 1994, when it signed on as KTWC under an eclectic oldies format covering music from the 1950s through the 1980s, owned by Newmountain II Broadcasting of Phoenix.
