A commercial AM radio station broadcasting at 1310 kHz from Perry, Iowa, operating an adult contemporary format. The station uses a three-tower directional antenna array that concentrates its signal toward the west, with towers located east of Perry near the intersection of U.S. Route 169 and Iowa Highway 141. The station began broadcasting in 1961 and for several decades was licensed to Coon Valley Communications, Inc., owned by Perry resident Patrick Delaney. In its earlier years the station broadcast the Timeless Favorites format until February 2010, after which it carried the Kool Gold network. Coon Valley Communications also held licenses for KGRA (98.9 FM) in Jefferson and KKRF (107.9 FM) in Stuart. In February 2012, Patrick Delaney sold Coon Valley Communications to M&M Broadcasting, Inc., a subsidiary of M and H Broadcasting, Inc., owned by Mel and Holly Suhr of Knoxville, Iowa. M and H Broadcasting also owns KRLS (92.1 FM) and KNIA (1320 AM) in Knoxville, as well as Home Broadcasting, Inc., which operates KCII (1380 AM) and KCII-FM (106.1) in Washington. In August 2025, John and Jen McGee of McGee Management Services acquired the Raccoon Valley Radio group, which includes this station along with KGRA in Jefferson and KKRF in Stuart. John McGee had served as general manager since the 2012 acquisition.
