Broadcasting on 93.7 MHz, this contemporary hit radio station serves the Fort Smith, Arkansas metropolitan area and is rebroadcast via translator K241CE on 96.1 FM in Fayetteville. The station was founded in 1971 by Fred Baker Jr., Bernie Baker, and Ed Hopkins III, with its original studios, offices, and transmitter housed in the front three rooms of the Baker family home on North Greenwood. The antenna was initially hung on a backyard utility pole. In the market's first Arbitron ratings survey, the station captured a 32 share compared to 13 for the nearest competitor. The transmitter has since moved to Young Mountain, north of Van Buren, Arkansas, while studios and offices relocated to Central Mall in Fort Smith. The station is currently owned by Stereo 93, Inc. In September 2018, an HD2 subchannel was launched carrying an active rock format branded as "Rock 94.1," simulcast on translator K231BS. An HD3 subchannel launched the same month with a classic rock format branded as "101.9 The River," simulcast on translator K270BR. In December 2023, the HD3 subchannel became an affiliate of the syndicated Pink Floyd program "Floydian Slip." On-air personalities include Rick "Big Dog" Hayes and Race Riley.
