An affiliate of the Froggy country music radio brand, one of the most widely recognized station identities in American radio. The Froggy format was conceived by broadcaster Kerby Confer in 1988 and first launched on WFRG-FM in Utica, New York, under the name "96 Frog." The concept spread rapidly, with affiliated stations appearing across multiple states, many of them carrying country music formats. The branding is closely associated with Forever Broadcasting and Forever Communications, the companies Confer founded. The format employs an extensive lexicon of frog-themed wordplay, with program elements, disc jockey names, and promotions built around references to pond life, ribbit sounds, hopping, and related imagery — examples include segment names such as "Frogcast," "Hop-Line," and "Local Hoppenings." While the frog logo is shared across Froggy-branded stations, most operate independently with no formal affiliation to one another beyond the shared identity. For his role in developing the format, Confer was inducted into both the Pennsylvania Radio Broadcasters Hall of Fame in 2003 and the Country Radio Hall of Fame in 2016. The Farmington outlet carries the Froggy brand with a country music programming focus.
