KQST (102.9 FM) is a Top 40 format radio station licensed to Sedona, Arizona, serving the Flagstaff area. The station signed on in May 1984 with an Easy Listening format that incorporated Jazz and Big Band programming. In 1992 the format shifted to Hot AC, and in 1999 it transitioned to a full Top 40 format under the direction of programmer Guy Giuliano. Ownership changed several times: from Arizona Mediacomm (1984–1988) to Rocket Radio Corporation (1988–2004), which also operated sister stations KAZM-AM and KLOD-FM. In August 2004, W. Grant Hafley's Yavapai Broadcasting Corporation acquired the station for a reported $3 million. Yavapai Broadcasting also owns KVNA-AM, KVNA-FM, KVRD-FM, KKLD-FM, and KYBC-AM.
