An online-only stream associated with WIUX-LP, the low-power student radio station of Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana. While WIUX-LP broadcasts its main programming on 99.1 FM, the B-Side stream operates exclusively online as a complementary outlet. Both the FM station and the B-Side stream operate under the umbrella of Indiana University Student Broadcasting, which carries the slogan "Pure Student Radio." WIUX-LP itself has a long institutional history tracing back to 1963, when a predecessor carrier-current AM station called WQAD was founded at Wright Quadrangle. A second station, WFQR, launched in Foster Quadrangle in 1964 before changing its call letters to WIN. The two stations merged in September 1967 to form a unified student broadcasting operation that evolved over subsequent decades into the current WIUX-LP. The station is operated entirely by student volunteers without paid employees or faculty supervision. Governance rests with a student board of directors elected each spring, overseeing committees covering music, public relations, marketing, programming, news, special events, sports, and engineering. Content published through associated platforms reflects a range of student interests, including music criticism, local concert coverage, film reviews, and genre-focused features spanning shoegaze, indie, and other styles favored by the student body.
