The company says lumber markets will will still be good early in quarter three, but will moderate later because of uncertainty and persistent affordability challenges. WestJet flight attendants could strike as early as Sunday after its union issued a 72-hour strike notice. The Canadian Union of Public Employees says the two sides remain far apart on key issues. The airline then issued a 72-hour lockout notice and has been allowing passengers with flights scheduled anytime between July 30th and August 4th to make a one-time change or cancel it with no fee. The strike notice does not guarantee flight attendants will hit the picket line. The National Autism Network says emergency alert systems and first responder training needs urgent change for vulnerable children and their families. A group of mothers has also started petitions urging officials to launch similar broad outreach emergency messages for categories that include neurodivergent children.
