Radio Oriental AM 770

Radio Oriental AM 770 is one of Uruguay's oldest radio stations, founded in 1928 and broadcasting from Montevideo. Since 2003, it has been operated by the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Montevideo, offering programming that combines religious content, sports coverage, and news. The station previously belonged to the same multimedia group as Radio Monte Carlo before its transfer to the Catholic Church. Radio Oriental features educational programming, spiritual orientation, and sports commentary covering both national and international events. The station also hosts cultural programming, including the long-running Galician-language show "Sempre en Galicia," one of the oldest continuously broadcast programs in the Galician language worldwide.
