Radiocero 104.3 FM is one of Uruguay's most listened FM stations, launched in 2000 as part of the prestigious Grupo Montecarlo media conglomerate with over 80 years of history in Uruguayan radio and television. The station is notable for being a pioneer in promoting Uruguayan rock music through its "Regional Rock" program, which helped launch the careers of iconic bands like Buitres, La Vela Puerca, No te Va Gustar, and internationally acclaimed artist Jorge Drexler. Equipped with cutting-edge technology and broadcasting from the city's tallest antenna, Radiocero covers the departments of Montevideo, Canelones, and San José completely, with partial coverage extending to Colonia, Flores, Florida, Lavalleja, Maldonado, Rocha, Treinta y Tres, and parts of Argentina's Buenos Aires province. In 2001, Radiocero Punta del Este was launched on 101.5 FM to serve the eastern coastal region.
