A Hot Adult Contemporary radio station licensed to Plymouth, Wisconsin, and broadcasting on 104.5 MHz FM in Sheboygan County. The station is owned by Midwest Communications and marketed alongside FM translator W241AG at 96.1 MHz — launched in June 2006 to address interference problems within the city of Sheboygan — under the combined brand "104-5 & 96-1, The Point." WXER launched in 1990 with an easy listening format and gradually shifted toward adult contemporary programming throughout the decade, fully completing that transition in 1999 when it adopted The Point branding. Following a competitor's format change in 2000, WXER operated as the Sheboygan market's sole AC station until 2003. During its time under Mountain Dog Media ownership, the station carried syndicated weekend programming including the VH1 Radio Network, Nina Blackwood's Absolutely 80's, and The Retro Pop Reunion. Midwest Communications acquired the station from Mountain Dog Media in 2005 and subsequently reformatted to Hot AC, replacing the prior airstaff and ending most syndicated programming. The station maintains a local morning show presence and carries community-oriented content including high school sports coverage, local event information, and ties to Green Bay Packers coverage for its Wisconsin audience.
