A terrestrial FM station licensed to Winona, Texas, broadcasting a rhythmic contemporary format under the brand name "The Blaze." The station serves the Tyler, Texas market and operates in full simulcast with its sister station KAZE 106.9 FM, which covers the Longview and Marshall portion of east Texas. Both stations are owned by Reynolds Radio, with studios situated on Grande Boulevard south of downtown Tyler; the transmitter for KBLZ is located east of Tyler in unincorporated Smith County. KBLZ received its construction permit in 1998, originally under the call letters KBKV, and first signed on in March 2000 with its current call sign. KAZE, whose origins date to 1989 when it signed on as KWSK licensed to Daingerfield, has been simulcasting this format with KBLZ since 1999. The format leans toward hip-hop and R&B while incorporating rhythmic pop and dance music, making it the only station in the combined Tyler-Longview market to program that blend. KBLZ operates on facility ID 79247 in the FCC Licensing and Management System.
