A Spanish-language AM radio station licensed to Saint Paul, Minnesota, operating at 630 kHz and simulcasting on FM translator W235CT at 94.9 MHz. The station broadcasts a Regional Mexican music format at 3,000 watts by day and 2,400 watts at night, with its transmitter and towers located in Woodbury, Minnesota. Its signal covers the Minneapolis–St. Paul media market. The 630 kHz frequency has a long broadcast history in the Twin Cities. The station signed on in 1951 at 1590 kHz as WCOW, playing country and old-time music, before the frequency was changed to 630 kHz in the late 1950s. It became KDWB in 1959, quickly establishing itself as a major Top 40 competitor to WDGY for nearly three decades until 1986. After several ownership and format changes, the station adopted the WREY call sign and its current Regional Mexican format. Under the Radio Rey brand, it has served the Latino community across Minnesota for over 45 years, combining music with news, entertainment, and educational content. The station was previously licensed to Hudson, Wisconsin from 1997 to 2005 before returning its license to Saint Paul.
