Operating at 91.1 FM, this National Public Radio member station is owned and operated by Idaho State University. It first went on the air on June 4, 1999, and since spring 2000 has incorporated student-hosted programming, beginning with the show In House with Jeremy Peterson. The station has since expanded to more than half a dozen student-produced programs alongside its NPR network content. Beyond standard public radio fare, the station broadcasts Idaho State University athletics and produces locally originated features covering Idaho natural history, water resources, and campus affairs. Recurring programming includes science and nature documentaries and long-form audio journalism aimed at the university community and wider southeastern Idaho audience. The station functions both as a public service broadcaster and as a hands-on training environment for students pursuing careers in broadcasting and journalism.
