An American FM radio station licensed to Pine City, Minnesota, broadcasting at 100.9 MHz with a country music format operating under the brand Cool Country 100.9 FM. The station shares studio facilities with its AM sister station, WCMP, at a location on Pokegama Lake Road. The station was assigned its call letters by the Federal Communications Commission on August 9, 1979, at which time it operated at 92.1 FM before later moving to its current frequency. Ownership of the station has changed hands several times since the early 2000s. In July 2001, Quarnstrom Media Group LLC, led by Alan R. Quarnstrom, agreed to purchase both WCMP and WCMP-FM from Pine City Broadcasting Co. Inc. for a reported $1.25 million, with the sale completed in September 2001. In June 2007, Red Rock Radio Corp., under president Romeo Grignon, acquired both stations from Quarnstrom for $1.6 million, with that transaction finalized in August 2007. In September 2016, Red Rock Radio announced it would sell the stations back to Q Media Properties, an entity controlled by Alan Quarnstrom, at a purchase price of $300,000, a sale completed on November 30, 2016. The station is currently owned by Alan R. Quarnstrom through Q Media Properties.
