Licensed to serve Medford, Oregon, the station broadcasts on 103.5 FM under the brand Kool 103.5, carrying a classic hits music format. It is owned by Bicoastal Media. Afternoon programming is led by personality Scuba Steve, and the station also carries American Top 40 rebroadcasts from the 1970s and 1980s hosted by the late Casey Kasem. The 103.5 frequency has a notable history in Oregon broadcasting: it was originally assigned to an FM talk outlet branded as KOPE, founded by Roy Masters, which stood as one of the earliest FM talk stations in the United States and locally featured legendary paranormal broadcaster Art Bell. Following a sale to Citicasters Co., which subsequently merged with Clear Channel, the Federal Communications Commission assigned the current KLDZ call letters on February 1, 1999.
