A commercial AM radio station licensed to Marshfield, Wisconsin, broadcasting on 1450 kHz and serving the Wausau-Stevens Point area with a classic hits format supplemented by ABC News Radio affiliation. The station signed on February 2, 1947, and has broadcast continuously from the same location at 1710 North Central Avenue since its founding. Its call letters stand for "Wisconsin's Dairy Land Broadcasting," reflecting the station's origins serving the agricultural communities of central Wisconsin with news, sports, and local information. The station's programming history spans multiple format eras. For many years it employed block programming that mixed middle-of-the-road adult contemporary music during daytime hours with country programming in early evenings and top 40 at night and on weekends. An FM sister station at 106.5 MHz was added in 1965. A statewide morning farm program called "Daybreak," hosted by farm broadcaster Les Leonard, debuted in 1976 and grew into a regional institution.
