Broadcasting at 100.9 MHz, this FM outlet carries an oldies format under the brand "Cool FM," serving the Kalamazoo market in southwestern Michigan. Licensed to Allegan, Michigan, the station has been on the air since 1981, originally signing on under the call letters WAOP. Its city of license was Otsego during early years before shifting to Allegan in November 2006. The station programmed Adult Contemporary music aimed at the Otsego and Allegan communities before transitioning to the oldies format targeting the broader Kalamazoo audience. It was previously branded as "Quixie 101," a phonetic rendering of its call letters, and later as "Cool 101" before adopting its current identity. In February 2025, the station expanded its reach by launching a simulcast on WFAT 930 AM in Battle Creek. For three consecutive seasons beginning in the fall of 2007, the station served as the flagship outlet of the Western Michigan University Broncos Radio Network, carrying hockey and women's basketball play-by-play. Currently owned and operated within a regional broadcasting group, it remains one of the primary oldies-format voices for west-central Michigan listeners.
