A faith-based southern gospel radio station serving the mountains of Eastern Kentucky, with roots tracing to 1948 when it began operating on WMTC. A subsequent phase of the ministry launched in 2015 on WBFC. The station describes itself as the largest locally owned and operated southern gospel station in Eastern Kentucky. Programming is oriented around the message of holiness, blending southern gospel music with Christian perspectives on current issues and listener-focused inspirational content. The station is operated as a listener-supported ministry, sustained through charitable donations and advertising rather than corporate ownership. Its history reflects a succession of leadership figures including Lela G. McConnell, Wilfred Fisher, Eldon Neihof, Seldon Short, Jennifer Cox, Dan Lorimer, and others who guided the ministry through its decades of operation. With over 75 years of continuous broadcasting, it represents one of the longer-tenured Christian radio ministries in the Appalachian region. In addition to its over-the-air AM/FM signal, the station extends its reach through online streaming, broadening access to listeners beyond its local terrestrial footprint in Eastern Kentucky.
