A classic country radio station broadcasting on 1410 AM, licensed to Fort Collins, Colorado, and serving the Fort Collins-Greeley-Loveland metropolitan corridor. The station is owned by iHeartMedia, which acquired it from Jacor in May 1999 following Clear Channel Communications' earlier acquisition of Jacor. The 1410 AM frequency has a history in northern Colorado dating to March 1947, when it signed on under the call sign KCOL on 1400 kHz before moving to 1410 kHz in 1950. During the 1970s, it operated as a sister station to KCOL-FM (107.9 MHz) with a middle-of-the-road or full-service format. The KIIX call sign originated on a different Fort Collins facility broadcasting on 600 kHz, which first signed on in 1959 as KZIX before transitioning to a country format and adopting the KIIX call letters in the mid-1970s. When Clear Channel acquired several Fort Collins stations in 1998, the KIIX call letters were transferred from 600 kHz to the 1410 kHz facility. The 600 kHz signal subsequently became KCOL, licensed to Wellington. Prior to its current classic country format, which launched April 2, 2012, the station carried the America's Best Music format syndicated by Dial Global. The station's on-air talent roster includes local personalities alongside nationally produced content. Programming draws from a broad catalog of country music spanning multiple decades, branded as "Country's Greatest Hits."
