Broadcasting an adult contemporary music format, KXLS operates at 95.7 FM and is licensed to Lahoma, Oklahoma, with studios situated at 316 E. Willow Road. The station is owned by Chisholm Trail Broadcasting Co. and primarily serves the surrounding northwest Oklahoma market. The station's history stretches back to May 14, 1993, when it first broadcast under the callsign KACL, followed by a change to KMKZ in August of that year. A brief period as KNID in mid-2000 preceded the adoption of its current callsign, KXLS, later that same month. The KXLS call letters had earlier roots in the region, first appearing in northwest Oklahoma at 99.7 FM in early 1981, operated by Zumma Broadcasting under general manager William Lacy. That original station styled itself "Class FM" and drew comparisons to KVIL-FM in Dallas, briefly hosting one of that station's notable afternoon personalities. It gained regional notoriety in 1982 for a "Zumma Beach" promotion and earned Oklahoma Associated Press awards for newscasting in 1983. In the late 1980s, the KXLS identifier became part of the "LS Network," a group of stations associated with Kansas broadcaster Larry Steckline, whose initials the callsign reflected. On July 14, 2017, the station rebranded under its current "My 95.7" identity, shifting focus toward the adult contemporary format it carries today.
