Dedicated weather radios capable of receiving the VHF signals are sold widely through consumer electronics retailers and are common in supermarkets and drugstores throughout regions of the country most susceptible to severe weather events, including the broad corridor historically associated with tornado activity across the southern and midwestern United States.
