A commercial FM radio station broadcasting on 106.5 MHz, licensed to Cadiz, Kentucky. The station is owned by Ham Broadcasting, with Beth Mann serving as owner and president. It operates a country music format and serves a primary coverage area encompassing Trigg, Christian, Caldwell, Lyon, and Todd counties, placing it within the Clarksville-Hopkinsville radio market. The station first signed on May 18, 1972, initially broadcasting at 106.3 MHz as a 3,000-watt FM simulcast of its sister AM station. For the first decade and a half, the two stations shared programming. In 1986, the FM outlet separated from the AM to pursue its own format, adopting an adult contemporary format under the WBZD callsign, before transitioning to easy listening later in the decade. Ham Broadcasting acquired both the FM and AM stations in 1991, at which point the callsign reverted to WKDZ-FM and a country format was introduced. The station has maintained that format continuously since. A frequency change from 106.3 to 106.5 MHz occurred on August 23, 2001. The station's studios are housed in a 4,100-square-foot facility at Broadbent Square along US 68/KY 80 in east Cadiz, near the Interstate 24 interchange. The building was formerly a Hardee's restaurant, extensively remodeled in 2004 to house WKDZ-FM, its AM counterpart, and the technical operations of a third station. The transmitter is located on Bailey Road near its junction with Interstate 24 in southwestern Christian County.
