A continuous 24-hour live audio scanner feed streaming public safety radio communications from the Big Bear Valley area of the San Bernardino Mountains in Southern California. The feed originates from scanner equipment positioned at the eastern end of the valley near Baldwin Lake and has operated without interruption since 2002. The service broadcasts emergency communications and incident audio from local public safety agencies, providing real-time awareness of fire, rescue, law enforcement, and other emergency activities in the mountain resort community. Programming is supported by voluntary listener donations rather than commercial advertising. An archived audio section allows users to review past incidents, and a companion Android application branded as Socalmountains Radio offers a dedicated mobile listening experience outside of the web browser environment.
