A country music-formatted AM radio station licensed to Bardstown, Kentucky, operating as part of a two-station duopoly alongside adult contemporary station WOKH (102.7 FM) of Springfield. Both stations maintain studios on South Third Street in downtown Bardstown, while the transmitter for the AM station sits off Sunset Drive on the northwest side of town. The station traces its origins to a construction permit originally allocated to Springfield, Kentucky, granted to movie theater chain owner Andy Anderson. After relocating the license to Bardstown, the station went on the air on January 5, 1955. Ownership changed hands several times in subsequent decades, passing from Andy Anderson to Lawrence Adams in the late 1950s and then to a group of investors called Nelson County Broadcasters in 1966. By 1979, longtime staff member Tom Isaac had become the principal owner and oversaw the launch of a companion FM station. In 1997, both stations were sold to Commonwealth Broadcasting of Glasgow, Kentucky, which held them until 2009, when Bardstown Radio Team assumed ownership. That group later acquired the current WOKH 102.7 FM from Choice Radio in 2017. In addition to its country music programming, the station carries local content and broadcasts NASCAR Cup Series and Xfinity Series races through the Motor Racing Network and Performance Racing Network syndicated services. Two FM translators extend the station's broadcast coverage beyond the immediate Bardstown area.
