A commercial FM radio station broadcasting on 99.3 MHz, licensed to Thorndale, Texas, and serving the Greater Austin radio market. The station is owned by Norsan Media, with studio and office facilities along Loop 360 in Southwest Austin and its transmitter located on County Road 470 in Coupland, Texas. The station carries a Regional Mexican format. The KOKE call letters carry significant historical weight in Texas radio. The original 95.5 KOKE-FM, launched in 1972, pioneered a format known alternately as Country Rock or "progressive country," playing an eclectic mix spanning the Carter Family to the Rolling Stones alongside Waylon Jennings and Willie Nelson. The format aligned with a flourishing Austin music scene and was closely tied to the rise of the "outlaw country" movement. In 1974, Billboard magazine recognized the station as the most innovative in the country. Program director Joe Gracey shaped much of the station's distinctive sound. The station played a direct role in the live recording of Jerry Jeff Walker's "Up Against the Wall Redneck Mother," having helped mobilize the audience for the session. The current 99.3 MHz outlet, which assumed the KOKE-FM call letters in later years, carries programming distinct from its storied predecessor, now serving the region's Spanish-speaking audience. Morning programming is hosted by Scotty and Amber with Rita (airing weekdays 6–9 a.m.), followed by The Rita Ballou Experience in afternoon drive (3–7 p.m.), and Drinking Texas Nights with Chip and Mike on weeknights (7 p.m.–midnight).
