A news and talk radio station licensed to Auburn, California, operating on 950 kHz AM. The station is owned by Relevant Radio, with the KAHI Corporation programming the station under a time brokerage agreement. It is paired with expanded band station KSMH (1620 AM), which serves as Relevant Radio's Sacramento-area presence. KAHI has a long history as a locally focused outlet for the Sierra Nevada foothills region, earning the moniker "The Voice of the Foothills." Its locally produced programming has included news blocks during morning and midday drive times, along with an evening talk show. When not airing live broadcasts, the station carries nationally syndicated talk programming. Sports broadcasting has been a defining feature of the station. After carrying Oakland Athletics baseball as an affiliate of the Oakland Athletics Radio Network for 57 consecutive years through 2024, the station ended that relationship concurrent with the team's relocation process. In March 2025, KAHI reached a deal with the San Francisco Giants and flagship station KNBR to carry Giants games on both 950 AM and 104.5 FM, becoming the foothills home for the team. The station also carries Sacramento Kings basketball and San Jose Sharks hockey, along with Sierra College and local high school football. KAHI began broadcasting in 1957, originally licensed to Placer Broadcasters for 500 watts on 950 kHz as a daytime-only facility. In 1997, the FCC authorized the station to expand to 1620 kHz, and the expanded band companion station KSMH began broadcasting in 1998.
