This network functions as the official radio and television network for the Louisiana State University Tigers and Lady Tigers men's and women's sports teams. Its operations span across eleven television stations, two regional cable networks, and numerous radio stations throughout Louisiana and adjacent states. The network's central operations are based in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and it is owned by LSU Sports Properties. Specific radio stations serve as flagship outlets for different sports, with one primarily covering football, men's basketball, and baseball, and another focusing on women's basketball and softball. The network has a rich history of play-by-play commentators, including John Ferguson, who covered men's basketball and football from 1946–1958 and again from 1961–1987, and J.C. Politz, who held the same role from 1959–1960. Jim Hawthorne was a prominent voice for baseball, men's basketball, and football from 1979–2016. The LSU Athletic Department, in conjunction with LSU Sports Properties, produces weekly in-house television and radio coaches' shows for baseball, men's basketball, women's basketball, football, gymnastics, and softball. Since the 1999–2000 season, all coaches' shows have been streamed live and made available on-demand through LSUsports.net, initially via a subscription service known as the "Geaux Zone." This initiative positioned LSU among the early universities to offer such a service. The network also introduced internet-only shows like "The Dot TV Show" and "Tiger Talk" to complement its 30-minute coaches' television programs. In 2016, the network expanded its digital offerings to include free streaming of on-demand live game broadcasts and live video of non-game events such as news conferences and special presentations on LSUsports.net. In collaboration with LSU Sports Properties, SiriusXM simulcasts all LSU football games and various other sports on its regional play-by-play channels. From 1982 to 2013, TigerVision, an in-house pay-per-view television broadcast channel of the LSU Athletics Department, provided live coverage of select non-network-televised football, basketball, and baseball games. These broadcasts were available to cable outlets within Louisiana and through ESPN's GamePlan package outside the state. TigerVision was also responsible for producing all coaches' TV shows for football, men's basketball, women's basketball, and baseball during its operational period, until the creation of the SEC Network led to Southeastern Conference member schools relinquishing their rights for pay-per-view telecasts.
