Jan van Veen's Candlelight

This radio station features a music mix of love songs and pop classics. It originated from a popular radio program called Candlelight, created by radio personality Jan van Veen. The program, which began in 1967, was known for Van Veen reading listener-submitted poems. In 2005, Candlelight Radio was launched as an independent online radio station, expanding to include a diverse music selection. Following Jan van Veen's passing in February 2024, the station continues to operate with its established music format. As a tribute, Van Veen's voice is featured as the station's voice-over and in a weekly program on Monday evenings at 10:00 PM, which plays poems from the Candlelight archive. The station collaborates with various online radio directories and platforms.
