European Gospel Radio (EGR) is an international public service broadcasting organization that has been operating since 1979. It is a non-denominational, non-profit association of broadcasters and program producers, primarily run by volunteers. EGR's mission is to spread the Gospel worldwide through various platforms including shortwave radio, AM/medium wave, satellite television, and the internet. The organization operates 24/7 online streaming channels, featuring a selection of Christian Gospel music, hymns, and news. One of its online channels provides mainstream news, information, feature, and Christian radio programs, which are also broadcast simultaneously on shortwave and AM/medium wave. EGR utilizes powerful shortwave and AM/medium wave transmitters, including 150 and 300 kW units, to achieve broad coverage across Europe, Africa, Asia, the Middle East, and potentially worldwide. They employ directional antennas and high-power digital transmitters to extend their reach to countries in the Americas and the Pacific. EGR offers access to Christian broadcasters and program producers, regardless of denomination, to share their message globally. They also provide a free 15-minute consultation service for broadcasters and producers to discuss international broadcasting options.
