Gorgone’s musical preferences include Gaúcho Raiz and Gospel music. Jota Santos, hailing from the Midwestern region of Santa Catarina, is a graduate in radio and television communication from CEDUP. He has worked with Biguaçu FM since 2009 and has been with the station since 2012. Santos enjoys a wide range of musical genres. The station’s history is rooted in the “Poesis – Associação Cultural e Artística de Antônio Carlos,” established on April 9, 2003. The initial board of directors included Altamiro Antônio Kretzer (President), João Anastácio Pereira Neto (Vice-President), Silvério Petri (1st Secretary), Carla Giovana Schmitz da Silva (2nd Secretary), Francisco Arlison de Nascimento (1st Treasurer), and Nilvana Tereza da Silva Koppe (2nd Treasurer). The association sought authorization for community radio broadcasting from the Ministry of Communications in December 2003. The pursuit of a community radio license was a long-term goal, involving years of paperwork, fundraising, and securing support. Several directorates have contributed to the station’s achievements over the years, with recognition given to past presidents and all those who have supported the station’s development. The station operates as a non-profit organization, and its existence is dependent on the efforts of its members, supporters, and volunteers.
