Studios are located in Pittsburgh's North Hills suburbs on McKnight Road, while the transmitter is situated in the Summer Hill neighborhood, co-located with television stations WPGH-TV and WPNT. WLTJ is classified as a grandfathered "superpower" station, meaning that while its effective radiated power falls within Class B FM limits, its antenna height above average terrain exceeds what current FCC regulations would permit for its power level.
