A secondary digital subchannel of WUKY, the listener-supported public radio station owned by the University of Kentucky and broadcasting on 91.3 MHz FM in Lexington, Kentucky. WUKY operates at 100,000 watts effective radiated power — the maximum permitted for most FM stations in the United States — from studios near the intersection of Greendale Road and Spurr Road in northwestern Lexington, housed in the former Saint Claire Recording Company Studio. WUKY's history stretches back to the late 1930s, when the University of Kentucky operated an experimental Apex-band AM station known as WBKY.
