Rádio Miúdos

This Portuguese-language radio station was established 10 years ago with the mission to amplify the voices of children and young Portuguese speakers, providing a global media platform for them. It aims to foster early citizenship by allowing children and youth to express themselves freely, believing that their ideas should be heard and that this practice contributes to the flourishing of democracy. The station emphasizes that growing up can be fun and that everyone has a voice. It features a national radio and podcast competition called 'Kids in Democracy,' which encourages children and young people to engage with democratic institutions relevant to them, including schools, local authorities, and the country. Beyond broadcasting, the station offers services such as workshops, studios, events, and tailored solutions for various age groups and organizations. It also houses the 'Casa da Cidadania Mediática' (House of Media Citizenship), dedicated to developing critical thinking, digital skills, and civic competencies to prepare informed and responsible citizens.
