This internet radio and video channel was launched in association with Arizona State University to support the Bheel Cultural Rejuvenation initiative. The initiative, led by Khedut Mazdoor Chetna Sangath (KMCS), has been active for four decades in revitalizing the traditional culture of the Bheel Adivasi community. The platform aims to address the marginalization of the Bheel people by providing a means for them to articulate their problems and participate in discussions about development and governance, which often occur in languages alien to them. The channel utilizes traditional Bheeli myths and tunes to convey modern developmental and cultural messages, proving effective in engaging the community. It also draws inspiration from the history of Bheel adivasi rebellion against oppression, particularly from the British era, to motivate Bheel youth. The initiative has also focused on developing a written language and literature for the Bheels, transcribing folklore for systematic study and creative interpretation, and promoting alternative, communitarian, and sustainable development theories. This effort includes the recognition of Tantia Bheel, a historical figure martyred by the British, as a freedom fighter.
