A commercial FM radio station licensed to Jacksonville, Florida, owned by Renda Media. Operating at 100,000 watts effective radiated power from an antenna at nearly 1,000 feet in downtown Jacksonville, the station's signal extends from Brunswick, Georgia, to Gainesville, Florida. Studios and offices are located on Atlantic Boulevard in the Arlington district of Jacksonville. The station airs an adult contemporary format focused on music from the 1980s and 1990s and serves as the Jacksonville affiliate for the nationally syndicated Delilah evening program. Between mid-November and December 25 each year, the station shifts to an all-Christmas music format. The station has a long history in the Jacksonville market. It first signed on in 1948 as WMBR-FM, a sister station to WMBR AM (now WQOP), under the ownership of Florida Broadcasting Company. Over subsequent decades the station passed through several owners and formats, including a soft instrumentals beautiful music format under Jones College, a soft adult contemporary format, and a mainstream AC format. The call letters WEJZ were adopted in 1987 when WIN Communications rebranded the station as "Lite 96.1." Renda Media completed its acquisition of the station in 1990, continuing the adult contemporary direction that has defined the station in the years since.
