An AM radio station licensed to Paradise, California, broadcasting a Christian format and serving the Chico metropolitan area. The station is owned by Butte Broadcasting Company, Inc. and carries programming from Salem Communications, including nationally syndicated shows such as The Dave Ramsey Show. The station has operated under several identities since its founding in 1960, when it first broadcast as KMET under Komet Radio, Inc. The call letters were changed to KNGL in October 1962 — a name referencing its self-styled identity as 'The Voice From Paradise' — before transitioning to KEWQ in 1967 as 'Q-Radio, Family-Oriented Christian Radio' following Butte Broadcasting's acquisition of the property. The current KKXX call letters have been in use since 1988. Two FM translators extend the reach of the AM signal: K280GL at 103.9 FM and, historically, K283AR at 104.5 FM, which later returned to serve as a K-Love translator. The station features local on-air personalities alongside its syndicated Christian talk and teaching lineup.
