A commercial FM radio station licensed to Allentown, Pennsylvania, broadcasting an adult contemporary format to the Lehigh Valley region and portions of New Jersey. The station is owned by Cumulus Media and operates with an effective radiated power of 9,900 watts from a transmitter co-located on the WFMZ-TV broadcast tower on South Mountain, south of Allentown. Studios are located on Avenue C in Bethlehem, near Lehigh Valley International Airport. The station broadcasts using HD Radio technology, and its digital subchannel carries a Spanish contemporary hits format known as "Mega 92.9," which also feeds a 99-watt FM translator at 92.9 MHz in Reading, Pennsylvania. The station's history on the 100.7 frequency dates to July 1947, when it signed on as WFMZ under Penn-Allen Broadcasting, originating with classical and jazz programming. Over subsequent decades, the station evolved through an easy listening format, a period of Christian radio ownership under Maranatha Broadcasting beginning in 1965, and an extended era of beautiful music programming in the 1970s and 1980s. The station adopted its current WLEV call letters and adult contemporary format following a series of ownership and format changes. Morning programming is anchored by local hosts Selena and Crockett. The station switches to a Christmas music format for much of November and December each year, reflecting a regional tradition common among Pennsylvania-area broadcasters.
