A commercial radio station broadcasting at 99.5 MHz on the FM dial, licensed to and serving the Tucson, Arizona market. Owned by Cumulus Media, the station operates with an effective radiated power of 90,000 watts (93,000 with beam tilt), with its transmitter located off West Hidden Canyon Drive. The signal covers a broad geographic area extending from Florence and Casa Grande in the north down to the U.S.-Mexico border in the south. Studios and offices are situated on Oracle Road in North Tucson. The station's history stretches back to March 1954, when it signed on as KTKT-FM at 99.5 MHz — the first FM station to broadcast in Tucson — simulcasting programming from co-owned AM 1490 KTKT. A 1958 plan to relocate to Mount Bigelow prompted a call sign change to KFMM. In 1965 the station was acquired by Tucson Broadcasting Company and adopted a Christian radio format. A 1979 ownership change brought new call letters, KNDE, along with an automated country format called Candy Country. In 1983, following another sale, the station rebranded under the KIIM call letters and transitioned to a live country music format, becoming Tucson's only FM country outlet at the time. A co-owned AM station, 1290 KCUB, complemented the FM with a personality-driven country approach. The station currently airs a country music format. On-air programming has included morning shows and local promotional events, alongside syndicated and network country music content.
