WSTB FM 88.9

A non-commercial educational radio station licensed to Streetsboro, Ohio, branded as "88.9 The Alternation" and carrying an alternative rock format. Owned by the Streetsboro City School District, the station serves the Akron metro area with studios located at Streetsboro High School. The transmitter is situated on the campus of Kent State University in nearby Kent. WSTB first aired in March 1972 at 91.5 FM before moving to its current 88.9 MHz frequency on July 11, 1995. Alternative rock programming fills most of the weekly schedule, with Sundays given over entirely to an oldies block under the alternate identity "The Sunday Oldies Jukebox." The station is also available via online streaming.
