Owned and operated by Max Media, the station airs a sports format under the brand "Fox Sports 1310," carrying programming primarily from Fox Sports Radio. The station holds the distinction of being the only broadcaster in Virginia to have retained a three-letter call sign, a legacy of its origins in the earliest years of commercial radio. First licensed on 940 kHz on December 6, 1926, under the call letters WPAB, it was reassigned to WGH and moved to 1310 kHz in 1928.
