Broadcasting on 1320 kHz with 5,000 watts power using directional antenna technology. Operates day pattern with two-tower array and nighttime four-tower directional array. Owned by Entravision Holdings, LLC. Originally signed on August 7, 1953 as WHWD middle-of-the-road station limited to daytime operation with 1,000 watts. Subsequently operated as WGMA 'Country Giant' with expanded coverage. Adopted current call sign WLQY in 1980 after brief period as WADY 'The Lady' featuring adult standards format. Current format reflects significant ethnic and cultural shift toward Haitian Creole programming serving regional Caribbean diaspora.
