A commercial FM radio station broadcasting on 93.1 MHz in Indianapolis, Indiana, owned by Urban One. The station airs a news and talk format with a predominantly conservative editorial orientation on weekdays, featuring mostly locally produced talk programming alongside nationally syndicated shows including Dana Loesch, Tony Kinnett of The Daily Signal, Chad Benson, and Coast to Coast AM with George Noory. Weekend programming expands to include consumer topics such as personal finance, health, gardening, technology, and firearms. The station also carries Fox News Radio for world and national news updates. The 93.1 FM frequency has a long history in the Indianapolis market. It first signed on in December 1960 as WIBC-FM, airing an automated classical format. In 1968 it was relaunched as WNAP, becoming the first Indianapolis FM station to blend album-oriented rock and Top 40 in a format known as "Rock 40," a forerunner of the contemporary hit radio format. The station operated under the WNAP identity for several decades before eventually transitioning to its current news-talk format. WIBC's call letters and talk programming moved from 1070 AM to the 93.1 FM frequency on December 26, 2007. Studios are located at 40 Monument Circle in downtown Indianapolis. The station broadcasts in HD, with its HD2 signal carrying the local sports format also heard on sister stations, and HD3 simulcasting HD2.
